What we collect

When you contact us — through the enquiry form on this site, by phone, email or WhatsApp, or as a client — we collect the personal and financial information needed to respond and provide our services: name, phone number, email, what you’re looking to invest in and an approximate amount, KYC documents, and information about your goals, income and existing holdings that you choose to share.

This site itself does not run tracking beyond standard, privacy-respecting analytics (only active once configured), and does not run advertising.

The enquiry form, consent and marketing

The contact form asks you to separately confirm two things before it can be submitted: that you’re happy for us to contact you about your enquiry, and that you understand we distribute regular plans and earn commission on them. A third, optional checkbox lets you agree to occasional email/WhatsApp updates — this is never bundled with the two required boxes, and leaving it unticked does not stop us handling your enquiry.

You can withdraw marketing consent, or ask us to stop contacting you altogether, at any time by writing to hello@altinvest.in — withdrawal is as simple as giving consent was. Submitted enquiry details are stored to respond to you and, if you become a client, as part of your client record; if you don’t proceed, we delete enquiry details we no longer have a reason to hold within a reasonable period on request.

How we use it

• To respond to enquiries and complete KYC and process mutual fund, SIF or insurance transactions on your behalf.
• To communicate with you about your investments, policies and our services.
• To meet obligations under AMFI, IRDAI, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and other applicable Indian law.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary information with AMCs, insurers, RTAs (registrar and transfer agents) and KYC/regulatory bodies required to execute and service your transactions. We do not sell your personal information to third parties or use it for advertising.

Data retention and security

We retain client records for the period required by AMFI, IRDAI and applicable regulation, and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you share with us.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, request corrections, ask us to erase enquiry data we no longer need, withdraw any consent you’ve given, or ask us to stop non-essential communication — at any time, by writing to hello@altinvest.in. We aim to act on these requests promptly; where records must be retained under AMFI, IRDAI or other law, we’ll tell you rather than silently ignore the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top reflects the last revision.
